Water Photography: Does the Camcorder Really Matter?

The camera is irrelevant. Many times I be asked if I should shop for Nikon, Canon, this plan or that model... what you should be asking is what will lenses you need for a single photography you want to take. Yes, I'm talking here about Dslrs (more about point and shoot below). Spend less money within your body that has the features you are searching for, and spend the rest of your money in more confident lenses. A very good inapropiate camera with cheap lenses will deliver low quality photos; revert the order and you've got a great combination.

When you are considering brand; it really doesn't matter either. Most photographers pay for one brand over the other very have some lenses already or they like the colors of the particular advertising. The reality is the fact all cameras these days supplies great photographs if used successfully high quality lenses... so pick your logo and go buy a body that you will enjoy good easy control goose down shutter speed, f-stops, ISO, white balance and has decent photometer (which is not as important underwater as it is only above the water). When it comes down to sensor size then you should decide between Full Talk about (FX - sensor measurements equals to 35mm) to become able to crop format (DX - which is 1. 5x on each Nikon and 1. 6x by the Canon). FX is much top-notch that DX and to me quite simple make sense to do without extra cash... I rather the actual difference in good digital slr lenses.

Don't get caught under the Mega-pixel marketing campaign! More sensible mega-pixels don't mean more content photos. Better lenses implies better photos; again: buy something in good quality lenses and forget the mega-pixel and camera system features scheme. Some of my favorite features Nikon D3100, 5100, D7000 otherwise Canon Rebel T3, T3i otherwise 60D. Don't discard older cameras that are awesome like the Nikon D40 with the flash sync speed 1/500 that you can get on eBay cheap witout a doubt (same goes for tall Canon).

Of course I will be new in underwater snapshot, but I researched another lenses before buying a way out. I absolutely love ones Tokina 10-17mm fish-eye genuinely considered a great DX lens that has incredible sharpness. Every underwater system entails this lens for enormous angle and of course if you need macro a 60mm couple of. 8. If you have excellent deal some spare money take a 105mm as well, but must have those two lenses from the underwater camera box. I'm also a charming of wide angle photography ashore and I truly believe that if you need to zoom lenses is essential not close enough regarding subject, but that is just a matter of preference.

Now how about point and shoot cameras? Most point and shoot camera do not have interchangeable lenses. If you are limited to a point and shoot camera, buy a camera so you're able to control shutter speed, the len's (f-stops), ISO and the show biz industry white balance manually. If you possess budget go for one with the intention to change lenses, but If I have to spend $1000 for a compact digital, I would rather get a DSLR and one good lens particularly possible in that economical. Some of my favorite compact digital cameras are the Digital slr S95 and Canon G12; now check your budget as your hair a Nikon D40 body come for $250 on eBay or possibly Tokina 10-17 fish-eye for about $600 for you to get you very close over the high end point and shoot cameras and you would've a killer setup.

If I would need to purchase another camera for underwater hard disc, I would choose DIGITAL SLR. Brand and Features doesn't matter. I would spend cash on lenses. If my money is getting to high rapidly including housing and strobes, then I would buy a point and shoot that has full Nevertheless , the mode. I buy my home fitness equipment from Sink or Swim scuba throughout Nanaimo; they can really present you with a great deal in uncountable underwater housing, strobes and arms systems in the shops.
